---+ YPD Medium

General media used for culturing Yeast. Adapted from [[http://cshprotocols.cshlp.org/content/2010/9/pdb.rec12315.full][Cold spring harbor]]


In 1 L bottle:

|  *1L*  |  *Component*  |
| 20g | Peptone | 
| 10 g | Yeast Extract |

   * Dissolve above in ~900 mL water.
   * Bring to 950 mL (final volume will be 1L after autoclaving)

In separate 500mL bottle, prepare 40% Glucose w/v


Autoclave separately. *WARNING* If glucose added before autoclaving, media will carmelize and be unusable.

   * Add 50 mL of 40% glucose solution to YPD media.
