<noautolink> ---++ Erratum for Woods et al. _Science_ 2009 The main text of the paper mistakenly refers to an __fadR__ mutation shared by the 500-generation eventual loser clones. As shown in Fig. 4A and tables in the Supporting Online Material, this mutation is actually in the __fabR__ gene. The text has the statement: "FadR is regulator of fatty acid and acetate metabolism (_25_)." This general statement is true for both FadR and FabR. Both are regulators of fatty acid biosynthesis, which is related to acetate metabolism. However, FabR specifically regulates unsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis (_1,2_).
