YPD Medium

General media used for culturing Yeast. Adapted from Cold spring harbor

In 1 L bottle:

• Dissolve above in ~900 mL water.
• Bring to 950 mL (final volume will be 1L after autoclaving)

In separate 500mL bottle, prepare 40% Glucose w/v

• Add 50 mL of 40% glucose solution to YPD media.

Autoclave separately. WARNING If glucose added before autoclaving, media will carmelize and be unusable.

• Add 50 mL of 40% glucose solution to YPD media.
